Kiyoshi Ohura Named 2020 Recipient of the IADR Distinguished Service Award

Alexandria, Va., USA, May 6, 2020 – The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) announced Kiyoshi Ohura, Taisei Gakuin University as the 2020 recipient of the IADR Distinguished Service Award.

Ohura is currently working for Taisei Gakuin University after retirement from Osaka Dental University in 2018 where he was Professor and Chair of Pharmacology. He holds the position of Prof. Emeritus in Osaka Dental University.

Ohura has been an active member of IADR since 1978. During this period, he conducted extensive amounts of research in the field of pharmacology and received Distinguished Scientist Award in Pharmacology/Therapeutics/Toxicology Research in 2011. He has also served on seven IADR committees.

Sponsored by J. Morita Corporation, the IADR Distinguished Service Award was established by the IADR Board of Directors to recognize a member who has not served as an IADR Officer, but who has performed outstanding service to the Association or distinguished service over a period of time.

Due to the cancellation of the 2020 IADR/AADR/CADR General Session, the award was given locally.
