AADOCR Member-At-Large Candidate 2024-2025
Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine
Graduation Date: 2025
Reasons for Running
I am excited to run for Member-at-large/Regional Representative because I would like to become more involved with American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research National Student Research Group. I attended and was an Interactive Speaker at both AADOCR Conferences in Atlanta, Georgia and Portland, Oregon during my first and second years of dental school. During my first year, I had the privilege to attend local, state and national conferences with my dental school, Utah Dental Association, and with AADOCR respectively – all within a month's span. I enjoyed being a part of an incredible community, learning and networking with professionals from all over the world. I was able to connect with fellow classmates, who are now also looking at different research projects to be a part of. Because of these series of events, I am thrilled for this opportunity to do more.
Being a MAL/RR will not only contribute to my professional development, but also allow me to serve as an essential communication link between local and national members. As a MAL/RR, I hope to represent AADOCR well and share the importance of research in oral health, provide a means for student researchers to become aware, participate and expand their interests in dental research. If chosen, this leadership position will enable me to recruit members by allowing me to share my authentic experiences I have had with AADOCR.
