Alexandria, VA – The American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) is pleased to announce the winners of the NSRG 411 Rapid Research Competition. The winners were recognized during the Opening Ceremonies of the hybrid 51st Annual Meeting of the AADOCR, held in conjunction with the 46th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research (CADR), on March 23, 2022.
The AADOCR National Student Research Group (NSRG) began offering the 411 Rapid Research Competition in 2019 as an opportunity for pre-doctoral dental students to grow their ability to communicate their science to a non-scientific audience. Student competitors have four minutes and one slide to explain their research. The students are then asked on question. Hence the name, 411. The award consists of two categories, basic science and clinical/public health, and applicants are judged by NSRG officers.
Competitors were selected to compete within each category on Monday, March 14. The monetary award consists of:
1st – $750 (Basic Science and Clinical/Public Health)
2nd – $500 (Basic Science and Clinical/Public Health)
3rd – $250 (Basic Science and Clinical/Public Health)
