AADOCR Announces Recipients of the 2022 IADR/AADOCR William J. Gies Award in Clinical Research

Alexandria, VA, USA – The American Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) announced the 2022 recipients of the IADR/AADOCR William J. Gies Awards for the best papers published in the IADR/AADOCR Journal of Dental Research. The winners of the award in Clinical Research were recognized during the Opening Ceremonies of the hybrid 51st Annual Meeting of the AADOCR, held in conjunction with the 46th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research (CADR), on March 23, 2022.

The award in Clinical Research was presented to K. Ramadugu, D. Bhaumik, T. Luo, R.E. Gicquelais, K.H. Lee, E.B. Stafford, C.F. Marrs, K. Neiswanger, D.W. McNeil, M.L. Marazita, and B. Foxman for their paper, “Maternal Oral Health Influences Infant Salivary Microbiome,” J Dent Res 100(1):58-65, 2021.

The award is named for William J. Gies, the founder of the Journal of Dental Research. The awards are supported by J. Morita Corporation and consist of $1,000 USD and a plaque.
