Ana Paula Vieira Colombo Named Associate Editor for the Journal of Dental Research

Ana Paula Vieira ColomboAlexandria, Va., USA — The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and American Association for Dental Research (AADR) are pleased to announce that Ana Paula Vieira Colombo, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has been selected as an Associate Editor of the IADR/AADR publication Journal of Dental Research (JDR) starting September 1, 2020.

Colombo is a Senior Professor and Researcher in Oral Microbiology and Periodontology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Institute of Microbiology and School of Dentistry, Brazil. Her major research areas include clinical and basic science studies on etiopathogenesis and treatment of periodontal and endodontic infections, oral-gut microbiomes, dental biofilm as a reservoir for multi-drug resistant pathogens and efficacy of antimicrobials on oral bacteria and biofilm. Colombo has published over 80 papers and book chapters related to these research areas. Colombo has been a member of the JDR Editorial Board since 2013.
