NSRG Member-at-Large & Regional Representative Positions

Position Descriptions

• Member-at-Large Duties

  Anyone interested in serving as an AADOCR National Student Research Group Member-at-Large should contact an AADOCR NSRG Officer or email nsrg@aadocr.org. Members-at-Large serve on the AADOCR NSRG board for a one year term and offer support, ideas and help to the board in implementing the mission of the NSRG. Members-at-Large are appointed by the AADOCR NSRG Officers.

  Position Roles and Responsibilities of Member-at-Large:

  •Must be an IADR/AADOCR student member in good standing for the duration of his/her term

  •To represent the membership, as a whole, in matters before the Board of Directors.

  •To assist the Board in its activities during the term of office of the Members-at-Large, e.g. participate in and chair committees.

  •To serve in the place of the Councilor or Secretary in the event that the office becomes vacant, as outlined in Article V. Section 4. Succession Plan of the Constitution.

  •If he/she continues to fulfill the requirements of student membership, the Member(s)-at-Large may be appointed to serve in the place of the Councilor-elect or Secretary-elect in the event that the office becomes vacant, as outlined in Article V. Section 4. Succession Plan of the Constitution.

  •Attends AADOCR NSRG August & January Board Meetings in Alexandria, VA

  •Attends AADOCR Annual meetings

• Regional Representative Duties

  Anyone interested in serving as an AADOCR National Student Research Group Regional Representative should contact a AADOCR NSRG Officer or email nsrg@aadocr.org. Regional Representatives are appointed by the AADOCR NSRG Officers to serve a one-year term.

  Position Roles and Responsibilities:

  •Must be an IADR/AADOCR student member in good standing for the duration of his/her term

  •Represents the universities within their AADOCR Region as defined by the AADOCR NSRG Officers.

  •Encourages collaboration and networking between universities within their AADOCR Region

  •Maintains contact with the regional SRG Advisors, Research Deans of Students/Student Affairs

  •Connects local SRGs in their region to the AADOCR NSRG Board and distributes information

  •Attends local SRG events and promotes research opportunities for dental students

  •Grows membership of local SRGs and ISDR/AADOCR and promotes advocacy

  •Reports to NSRG LSRG Connection Committee on a bi-monthly basis

  •Provides content from Region for NSRG media

  •Prepares Annual Regional Report

  •Attends AADOCR Annual meetings
